Weekly operating rate of secondary lead smelters (July 4, 2025 - July 10, 2025) [SMM Lead Weekly Review]

From July 4 to July 10, 2025, the weekly operating rate of secondary lead smelters in four provinces tracked by SMM was 35.47%, an increase of 0.71 percentage points WoW. This week, the operating rates in Henan, Jiangsu, and Inner Mongolia remained basically flat WoW, while the operating rate in Anhui increased by 1.65 percentage points. A secondary lead smelter in Anhui, which had been undergoing maintenance, resumed furnace heating recently but has not yet produced lead. It is expected to have production by the end of next week. A secondary lead smelter in Inner Mongolia undergoing maintenance has no production resumption plan for next week, and it is expected that there will be no volatile changes in the operating rate in the near future. There has been no significant improvement in the scrap battery scrap volume and new battery consumption, and the performance of raw material supply and consumption remains the main factor limiting production.
